invetra™ pedicle screw course

A pedicle screw spine stabilisation course introducing the invetra system
Pedicle screw fixation systems have been standard in human practice for quite some time. Only now though has a system been designed and manufactured from the ground up specifically for the veterinary industry in a 5.5mm and a 3.0mm system.
The course is a varied mixture of theory and practical, but with the focus heavily on the practical aspect. An initial surgery on a real-case 3D model will be undertaken by each participant before moving into the wet-lab. This model will be kept by each attendee.
Day 1:
9.30 - 10.00 Lecture
10.00 - 10.30 Laboratory
Introduction to equipment and application of 4.5mm pedicle screws on the 3D printed model
10.30 - 11.15 Lecture
Application on the lumbosacral spine and lumbar spine
Break
11.30 - 13.00 Laboratory
Approach and placement of pedicle screws in L7-S1 of cadaver lumbosacral stabilisation and fracture of L2-3 fixation
Lunch
14.00 - 15.00 Lecture
Techniques for stabilisation of the thoracic and cervical spine using the invetra™ system
15.00 - 16.45 Laboratory
Thoracic and cervical fixation using the invetra™ system

2-day pedicle screw and advanced neurology

A pedicle screw spine stabilisation day introducing the invetra system followed by a second day of advanced neurosurgery subjects and practicals
The course, given in English, is a varied mixture of theory and practical, but with the focus heavily on the practical aspect.
Day 1 involves lectures, dry-lab and wet-lab environment launching the new versatile invetra™ pedicle screw fixation system. During this you will learn about pedicle screw technology, its history, its ease of us and its superiority to pins and PMMA. By starting initial surgery on an anatomically correct 3D printed model, this will then be yours to take away.
Day 2 is then a more varied day covering a variety of topics for surgeons wishing to expand their repertoire. Incorporating some innovative and ground-breaking products this second day is thought-provoking and inspiring.
